Leo Glamuzina retires from NEPT

Leo Glamuzina

Leo Glamuzina, former member of the NEPT (Northpower Electric Power Trustee) (far right), with (from the left) Norhtpower Chariman Warren Moyes, Mary Glamuzina and NEPT Chairman Erc Angelo at a ceremony to farewell Leo and acknowledge his service to the industry and the Whangarei and Kaipara electricity consumers.

As one of the longest serving Trustees, Leo started with the North Auckland Electric Power Board (NAEPB) in October 1977 and sat on the board until October 1990 when the company was corporatised. He was an interim Trustee until April 1993 and was an elected Trustee from May 1993 until October 2007 - serving a total of 30 years.

Leos philosophy on life has always been "to put in more than you take out", which is something he has done diligently since he was elected as a member of the NAEPB and then a NEPT Trustee. Leo has always had the 'peoples' interest at heart and has constantly seen real value in listening to the consumers.

Known for his strong points of view and his ability to articulate them, Leo will be missed as a valued and respected Trustee who served in the interests of his community.
